About Us

Classic Bulk Carriers is a family owned company that takes pride in the quality of the services we provide.

Classic Bulk Carriers was founded in 2001 by Keith Hedinger. The company started with a few trucks and pneumatic tankers which primarily hauled bulk powder cement and fly-ash in the Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky region.

Several years later we purchased our first refrigerated trailer and began to haul fresh turkey. Since then our business has expanded to 12 pneumatic trailers and 24 refrigerated trailers. Our fleet consists of 35 trucks and 45 trailers total. We also have 4 owner/operators leased to the company. Between cement, fly-ash, and fresh turkey we deliver 90-100 loads per week.

We take pride in our fleet and are dedicated to keeping it clean and in tip top shape. Our team is committed to providing a quality work environment for our drivers as well as providing quality customer service and on time deliveries.

We operate a full service shop, and are proud to have one of the lowest out of service maintenance scores in our industry class.  Our shop keeps the drivers rolling and ensures we have reliable equipment to deliver to our customers.  We also operate a full time wash and detail bay to keep our trucks looking sharp! In 2018 we added a Driver’s lounge  with 2 rooms, shower, washer/dryer, kitchen and lounge area.  This is open to driver’s at any time if the want to rest and recharge in between loads or while their truck is in the shop.
